Possible: Melanoma does have the ability to travel to bone and would show up on a bone scan. However other processes (non-malignant) can also also light up on a bone scan. Only a biopsy could tell for certain.

Unclear: It is possible although not common for high risk melanoma to spread to bones. If there is a suspiciion based on bone scan, it can be clarified by exam plus other imaging tests. Usually it is something else, bone scans are very non-specific.
