Variable: The naturally occurring hallucinogen in "magic" mushrooms (not the kind you put on your pizza) is psilocybin. The effects vary depending on mindset and environment. These can be frightening and paranoia-inducing, or what some call transcendent. The hallucinations themselves are usually visual, multicolored geometric shapes and vivid imaginative scenes & sequences.
