A member asked:

Why would my elbow joints be making noises?

Several reasons: Joints pop and crack and make all types of noises. If not painful, then we rarely worry about these noises. A shift in fluid or air, bone spurs, roughened cartilage or loose bodies (bone or cartilage) can all account for these noises. See your orthopedic doctor if these noises are accompanied by pain, loss of motion, weakness or locking of the joint.

Elbow joints: Noise may be due to loose bodies, synovitis, arthritis, or joint irregularities. Check with your orthopedic surgeon if painful limited range of motion.
