Indeterminate: This is a fantastic question. Essentially, getting a transfusion from a single donor depends on at least two factors. First, the donor must be healthy enough to actively donate his/her blood over time. A healthy adult can give blood about every 2 months. Second, compatibility goes beyond simple ABO groups and the recipient can develop antibodies to a donor. This will limit further transfusions.
