Avoid it: I would avoid using Chloramphenicol eye drops. There are many other alternative antibiotic eye drops that do not run the risk of causing fatal aplastic bone marrow.

Antibiotic use: Stopping topical or oral eye drops prior to completing the course of therapy puts you at risk of infection recurrence and promotes resistance. I would complete the 5 day course.
