Usually none.: Sometimes there might be some sensitivity in the teeth to temperature changes, but this will diminish in a short amount of time (usually a few days.) whitening teeth will not cause damage to the enamel.

None for most people: Most people suffer no side effects from office bleaching procedures. Occasionally some people have some post operative sensitivity for a short period of time. These are usually people who have sensitive teeth to begin with.

Yes-Temporary : The most common side effect from whitening or bleaching your teeth is tooth sensitivity. This is generally sensitivity to cold, sensitivity to acidic drinks like orange juice, and sometimes sensitivity to cold air.If the whitening gel gets on your gums, they can become sore and turn white also. However, all these side effects are temporary and will be gone 1-2 days after whitening has stopped.
