A member asked:

How long will someone with cerebral palsy normally live?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on situation: A majority of CP patients with mild movement problems & no additional related complications will live a normal lifespan. Those with added issues such as seizure disorders can expect less. I have had patients with major, multi-system involvement that never made it through puberty. Each case is somewhat unique & prognosis defined by the level of involvement.
