Be a friend: The best way to help someone with any disability is to treat them as human beings. No one is asking for pity. They are asking to be your friend and supporter. They may need some physical accommodations like help in transportation and it may take more time to communicate with them. Treat them as you would any of your other friends who ask for you help.
