It varies a lot : It may take days, weeks, month, years or never for a stone to pass. It really depends on the size of the stone. Ultrasound waves can be used to break up large stones to help them pass. You may want to check with a urologist and have an ultrasound image taken of the kidney, urether, and bladder to reevaluate the stone size. Ct scan can also give information on the stone.
