Sensitivities?: The lab should be able to test to see which antimicrobials used for typhoid may be active since resistance can occur but it can take as long as 10-14 days on adequate therapy for the fever to remit. Or, are we sure of the diagnosis?

Drug sensitivities: I agree with Dr. Lutwig. Lab should be able to show what the Salmonella Typhi is sensitive to.

Assuming the bacteria is unknown. What antibiotic is best for epidymitis/ prostatitis? Levaquin or cipro, (ciprofloxacin) and why? Generally speaking overall.
