Food is not a factor: There is no food, diet, herb or supplement that will change your chance of a having a boy (or having a girl). About half of your partner's sperm carry a y chromosome leading to a boy, and half have an x chromosome for a girl. If you're trying to conceive eat a healthy diet, avoid smoking and heavy alcohol, and take a prenatal vitamin with at least 800 micrograms (mcg) of Folic Acid every day.
