Ask the surgeon...: One can ask the surgeon or get a copy of the surgeon's report, to see what stuff came out. It may have been hematoma blood mixed with other stuff, if there was other stuff in the hematoma. One can visit the doctor again if she has lots of concerns or questions, or to have the leg pains evaluated. If the leg pains are unrelated, a primary care doctor can check into the legs.
