I've had pain and problems with my low back for many years. What can I expect from myspine surgery?

Depends....: There are many types of back surgery for many different back conditions so answering specifically will be difficult; however, generally you can expect to be up and walking within 1-2 days after surgery. You'll also likely be limited in the amount of bending/twisting you are allowed to do, maybe even in a back brace. Pain/discomfort should be expected but diminishing. You may also have a catheter.

I've heard about the HPV vaccine. Does it protect against cervical cancer?

Yes it does!: Two hpv vaccines, Gardasil and cervarix, are very effective at reducing cervical cancer risk from hpv 16 and 18. Gardasil also reduces risk of genital warts from hpv 6 and 11. Ideally the three doses hpv vaccine should be given prior to starting sexual activity but the vaccines are approved in females 10-25 (cervarix) or 9-26 (gardasil). Recently Gardasil was approved for males to prevent warts.

Back pains: The word "serious" calls for need for assessment by an orthopedic specialist for diagnosis & recommendations.

Do a blood PT: You need a blood bhcg, if neg could be form other hormones being not right or other pronblems, your gyn can figure out what is going on when you see your gyn or a gyn, they will do an exam, blood work and ultrasound.

A 19-year-old female asked:

I have puss on tonceles and large bumps on back of tongue and throat but don't hurt. Do u know what could be wrong?

Probably normal: If you do not have pain and no fever then this may be normal. All of our tongues have bumps on the back of them and just maybe you never noticed them. The tonsils can collect debris and dead cells that slough off and these can collect as small white plugs in the tonsil itself. If there is no pain it is unlikely that you have an infection.
