A member asked:

What effect does prolonged methamphetamine use have on the intestines?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably the same...: Probably the same as on other organs: ischemic damage from constriction of blood vessels causing poor blood flow. Ischemia causes great abdominal pain in the intestines, like patients who have mesenteric ischemia but aren't meth users. Recurrently choking off the blood supply to the intestines will cause poor gut function.
