Stimulants: Methamphetamine (desoxyn) belongs to the amphetamine group of stimulants. It comes in 2 forms; dextro- form which is the psychostimulant, & the levo-form which is an over-the-counter nasal decongestant. Meth is highly addictive. Methylphenidate (ritalin) belong to the non-amphetamine group of stimulants. Due to ritalin's short elimination half-life, rebound symptoms are more common.
