Irregular ovulation: What you are experiencing is called "anovulatory cycling". It is not uncommon to experience periods of irregular or absent ovulation as you approach menopause (even many years before). This does not mean that you are going through menopause any time soon, but cycle irregularity can become a problem. Talk with your doctor about ways to induce a period and then discuss methods of cycle regulation.
