A birthmark!: It is a capillary hemangioma . They are benign tumors that tend to grow but will resolve in time . The color will fade first and the hemangioma will shrink and disappear in due time .Just be careful when combing his hair cause it can irritate the birthmark, if you will take pictures to keep track of it.
