Possibly: If you have diverticulitis which is an inflammation of a diverticula it normally presents as abdominal pain. Occasionally if the inflammation is severe or it works its' way to to the back of the abdomen (retro-peritoneal) or if there is an abscess it may cause back pain. If you are concerned you should see your doctor.
