Is there a lot of pain in stage iv stomach cancer?

Can be but need not: Be. Any advanced malignancy may cause pain, however effective pain medications are available and control of pain is one of the goals of palliative care. The patient may wish to seek hospice care at home or in an in-patient facility.

Not necessarily: Pain can occur in stage IV stomach cancer, but not always. If it does, ask your doctor to use strong enough pain medicine to control it. Sometimes other treatments, such as radiation therapy, can help relieve pain.
