Panic attacks?: Seemingly don't have underlying heart or lung diseases as all tests have been negative. I believe that you possibly experiencing panick attacks. Xanax (alprazolam) may only supress the symptoms for a short period of time but must be adequate in dosage. Propranolol does not prevent the attacks. I would suggest really talk to your doc, possibly a psychiatrist. There are better treatments. Good luck.
