Nasal Vestibulitis: Crusting in nostrils where nasal hairs are located is common and can be treated with topical antibiotic ointment. Blowing your nose a lot with tissue papers can cause direct irritation to skin and is not recommended. See an ENT doctor!

Yes: Cold sores can occur on any mucous membrane. Also could be a staph infection. See an ENT doc and have a biopsy taken so your problem can be treated properly.
