Left sided hernia, why could stool be bloody?

May be unrelated: Hernia & blood in stool may not be related. Unless the hernia is large & contains part of the colon, the hernia & rectal bleeding are not likely related. See a doctor. May have hemorrhoids. See a general surgeon about hernia repair.

Separate issues: Bloody stool is something separate, and probably more important to sort out than your hernia. I would recommend seeing a general surgeon for a consultation ASAP. Hope this helps!
