A 35-year-old member asked:

are there certain foods that increase circulation to distal parts of the body?

Circulation: There are no studies that prove that any nutrient or food can increase circulation in the blood stream. Beware of any promotional material that makes these claims. There are plenty of foods (collectively eaten as a 'diet') that can result long-term in blockages to the arteries. Reversing this type of unhealthy diet will prevent progression of these blockages but not necessarily reverse the blockag.

While I agree with the answer, we have found success in some patients using non flush niacin (inositol) in doses of 500mg 1-2 3 x daily. Niacin can cause flushing so start slow. There are prescription meds which can alter the shape of red blood cells, but discuss this w your doc to determine need.

Marketing & Big Lies: Beware most marketing&many Big lies. Atherosclerosis is within walls of arteries, typically begins in childhood, yet no symptoms for decades because arteries enlarge (NOT shrink) in compensation. So what creates the narrowing/stenosis? Plaque ruptures, debris into blood stream+clots over both the rupture & the debris going downstream blocking capillaries downstream; angiograms can't see these.

Maybe: Not necessarily. It could be if you have a low body fat percentage, if you have anemia or thyroid problems, or if you are a shallow breather (so your heart isn't circulating your blood out to the extremities). Extremities are always cooler than your core because they are farthest from your heart. See a dr to get checked out.
A 35-year-old member asked:

I'm just wondering, if you were to lose circulation on a body part would it eventually fall off?

It may: Body parts in adults would be tough to "fall off" as one would feel the pain or see the discoloration and seek help hopefully, way before it would be that serious. Some infants may get rubber bands around their toes and they could "fall off" if left unnoticed for days/weeks. In fact, 1 treatment for hemmorhoids is rubber band ligation, which cuts off the blood supply and evntually it falls off.
A 30-year-old female asked:

For better circulation in body is it ok to eat spicy chips or anything spicy?

Taste not health: Eat spicy food to suit your taste. It will not do any good to your heath. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/. Get HPV vaccine
