My elbows have been hurting me for about three days now. they are bruised and swollen and i have no idea why. what could cause this?

Bruised elbow: Sounds like could be bursitis or synovitis if there are sign of infection such as fever, swelling , redness and reduced range of movement of the elbow, should seek doctor consultation as soon as possible. Trauma, overuse of the joint and arthritic conditions as well as diet related gouty attack can precipitate your complaints.
