Depends: Is it swelling over the "pointy bone" at the back of the elbow. If so, you could have olecranon bursitis. This can occur with repetitive pressure - like leaning on your elbows - a trauma or less rarely things like gout or infections. It's uncommon to have elbow arthritis but not impossible. Tendon and ligament inflammation could also cause this too.
