Give it time: Scrapes ("road rash" as us trauma doctors will call it) can often heal very well, but the deeper the cuts/scrapes, the more tissue gets disrupted and the higher the chance of scarring. For 2 weeks after injury, keep the wound clean and apply ointment regularly. Then vitamin E oil or scar creams can be used with massage daily to soften. 6-12 later, lasers can be used to further improve the scar.

Read below: You have a few things going for you. Males heal much better in the face, especially on the hair baring areas and if the scrape is superficial. For deep scrapes you may need to see a doctor. Until then, wash with regular soap and cover with Bacitracin ointment 4 time daily. Once the new skin is in place (5 to 10 days), use cocco butter and massage it in a few times daily. I would not use the vit e.

May or may not.: First of all, i will not take the fall lightly.The history you have given may cause lot more serious damage staring from your skin wound on your chin to injury to your tm joint.Moreover, you should take care of your wound properly including tetanus prophylaxis.If it is only an abrasion of your chin , then you are a very lucky man.The scar will depend on the depth of your wound and proper management.I.
