A member asked:

I had a hit on my head when i was 6 that created a very small scar. i'm 30 now and recently found that the area of the scar is now a small bump, smaller than an apple seed. it's not painful but it looks like a black bump. should i be concerned??

Doctor can look: One's primary care doctor or a dermatologist can take a look. After scalp trauma, the injury may resolve and leave a bald spot. Sometimes skin glands and/or hair follicles get messed up and heal under the skin, meaning they got covered over... leading to a bump which is actually a small cyst full of stuff that could not get out. Of course, a coincidental mole could also grow at a scar spot.
