Possibly: Childhood acute myositis is usually self-limited and caused by viral infections. Acute myositis in adults may have an infectious cause, but mold exposure can cause an extreme inflammatory response that could include myositis, generally in association with other symptoms related to mold exposure, esp. With acute mold exposure. See http://www.Survivingmold.Com/diagnosis for much more information.
