Not related: Myosotis ossificans (a form of heterotrophic ossification). Does not usually cause the symptoms described. Symptoms are usually localized to the ossification area. Treatment will depend on when the problem is discovered. It usually includes antinflammatories. In severe cases when the range of motion in the area is significantly affected surgery for removal of the bone is considered.
