Several options: There is a deltoid ligament and a deep deltoid ligament as well as tendons, nerves and blood vessels that are in the area. If it does not resolve in a week seek a consultation. If there is fever, chills, sweats or any other sign of infection go immediately.

Recommend : Podiatric or orthopedic exam, in that region you can have posterior tibial tendonitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome as the two more common problems.
