What does a faint positive sign mean on a pregnancy test?

It is positive.: Faint just means the HCG or pregnancy hormone is low but detectable. It typically indicates early pregnancy and would be normal if you have just missed your period;but see your doctor to be certain there is not an abnormality such as an ectopic pregnancy.
