A member asked:

Iam suffering with diabetes what precautions shoud i take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can advise: The primary care doctor or the endocrinologist can advise one on what precautions are needed, because they may depend on how good or how bad one's diabetes is. Diabetics try to avoid heart disease, high cholesterol, obesity, etc... They usually get eye exams. Their infection-fighting powers and their wound-healing powers are not as good, so they have to really take care of themselves.
