Ask about the dyads: Any question pertaining to the nature of the dyads in the family (one person to another) can be productive towards deepening the family therapy process. An example: "jimmy, tell us about how you and your mother get along these days." also, children can be extremely perceptive about the sources of family tension, so asking the kid(s) about their views on the presenting issues can be useful.
