Yes: Its the same tobacco you get in a cigarette, without the benefit of a filter. Any combustion product that you intentionally inhale into your lungs is bad for you. Tobacco happens to be the most common, but diesel exhaust, wood burning stoves, and other urban combustion products are equally bad. More is worse, none is best, but any is bad.
