A member asked:

Could you really see pulmonary arteries in an x-ray?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Somewhat: Without contrast, and on a plain chest x-ray, you can see the shadow of the left and right main pulmonary arteries. For detail, contrast is necessary. To rule out clots, a high resolution spiral ct with contrast is necessary.
