Practice relaxation: The answer in part depends on how frequent, how severe, long this has been happening, & how severely it impacts your function and life quality. If enough of a problem to seek help, see your doctor to first make sure it is not due to a medical or non-psychological cause. Relaxation techniques & other therapies can be very helpful. Ssri/snri medication can be used as well if symptoms are frequent.

See below: Are you anxious about every day stuff or particular events?Generally, it's good to know what makes you anxious. Practice relaxation, mediation, guided imagery (you can google it); keep a diary of the events when you happen to be anxious -- what happened (the event), thoughts you had; things you've done to decrease anxiety; how you body responded (where did it feel in your body).

One thing that you: Can do to self-calm or reduce anxiety is deep breathing. Breath in slowly & deeply through your nostrils. Fill you lungs with air & hold for a five count. Slowly exhale through an open mouth. Don't focus on problems. Think only about your breathing. Repeat x 12 or until you are calmer. I would also encourage you to consider cognitive behavioral therapy to help get better control of anxiety.
