Can sunscreen cause my acne scars to fade?

Sunscreen: When you wear sunscreen you are protecting yourself from the damaging effects of the sun. Typically any scar on your skin will appear darker or more intense when exposed to the sun. Unless your sunscreen has an active ingredient that helps reduce the appearance of scars, simply protecting your skin from the sun is helping scars fade.

No: It will protect them from darkening which is recommended, but it will not cause them to fade.
