Depends: On the cause. If it is erupting the pain will end when the tooth erupts. If it is decay then a filling will solve the problem. If it is partially erupted and food is caught under the tissue having your dentist treat this condition called pericoronitis by cleaning out the area will solve the problem. If the decay has reached the nerve andit is erupted you can rct/extt;if partially erupted extract.

See dentist: You're teething, and it hurts. Go see your dentist. If erupting normally your dentist can recommend otc analgesics and topical pain killing ointments. If a problem w eruption, your dentist can refer you to an oral surgeon. Pain is your bodies signal to you that there's something wrong. Go check it out before ache becomes emergency.
