Other than practice, is there anything to do to help wearing high heels hurt a little less?

High heel pain: There are numerous products available now to help with high heel pain; there are silicone pads that may been worn in the shoes; there are custom and non custom orthotic products available to redistribute the weight from the ball of the foot. There are even injections of medications.

Dessert shoes.: As a rule, you should wear supportive shoes. High heels don't fall into that category. It's the same principle as nutrition: you can't eat cake all day long, but if you maintain a healthy nutritious diet, you can splurge on dessert. If you wear supportive shoes all day, you can wear heels to an event or out with friends for a finite amount of time. In moderation, they shouldn't cause too much pain.
