Time for exam: Since heel pain can throw your gait and posture off and that can lead to back, hip, knee, etc. problems - get it examined and treated ASAP. The foot bone really is connected to the...... So, why let other parts get mis-aligned and mess up internal functioning too. Hopefully it's nothing serious and will be handled easily. Best!

Hole lot of trouble.: A small hoe in the heel is not a good sign, especially if it is involved with associated pain and weight bearing. Whether foreign body, puncture or who knows what else, it is a very good idea to have it seen immediately.
