Yes BUT: They are fairly sturdy however if you are playing sports i would use a mouth guard as they are only glass like any porcelain they can break or chip.

Yes: Once bonded to teeth, veneers are very strong and are able to withstand normal chewing forces. However, being made of porcelain and very similar to enamel, biting down on anything hard enough to break a tooth can break a veneer. Grinding your teeth will damage your teeth and can damage veneers. A night guard can protect veneers during sleep, and a sports guard can protect during contact sports.

Caution: During events which may create an impact i would suggest a nice athletic mouth guard. During sleep i would strongly recommend a night guard. Porcelain in and of itself is weak and can crack. When bonded to a tooth it has more strength, but there are limits.

Maybe: They are very strong and normal use will not damage them. But if you are hit in such a way that it would break your natural tooth your veneer will likely break as well.

Force related and...: When porcelain veneers are used in the right circumstances, the teeth prepared properly, the veneers made well and then bonded carefully, they are very strong and durable. There are two kinds of forces that can either cause them to break or to de-bond from the tooth. Nothing is as strong in your mouth as natural enamel, so some caution needs to always be exercised.

Yes: However, if you anticipate any contact sports/activity, then consider wearing a mouth guard to protect your veneers.

Possibly: The force of impact will determine if porcelain veneers hold up. Accidental mouth injury that can fracture teeth can also fracture porcelain veneers. It is recommended for your dentist to fabricate a professional bite guard to protect your teeth.

Yes, but be careful: Veneers can be stronger than your natural enamel. But you need to be aware that anything that could chip or crack your natural tooth, can chip or break a veneer too. If you are thinking you may get veneers-don't worry, when they are done well they are very strong.
