Yes: Asthma is a clinical diagnosis. Emphysema is a radiological diagnosis . Overlap between chronic bronchitis, asthma, emphysema is a known entity. However, pulmonary function testing and ct scan of the chest should atleast differentiate between asthma and emphysema, but once again they are not mutually exclusive conditions.
