Follow up on my blood work came out good, protein, bun, apo b, hscrp, lp (a), sdldl & ldlp r high- hdl2, large hdl -p & hdl size are low.?

Confusing: I realize that the space you're given to ask a question is limited so it's hard to ask what's on your mind - the results of your tests appear to be contradictory: some conferring low risk and some high risk. Why not just get a ebct calcium score and be done with it?

Gets complicated: Bottom line is sub-fractions of HDL cholesterol and measurement so of HDL size or particle number is still not considered routine. Risk sees to be best predicted by HDL particle number but we do not have any evidence that using medications to target HDL p or HDL size helps. Recently the national lipid association released a report suggesting not to use HDL sizing for risk evaluation. www.lipid.org.
