A single lab doesn't: Give enough data to be helpful. The upper limit of normal for WBC at that age is 17, 500 at my lab & an elevation to the degree you report can be the stress of any illness, viral, bacterial or even trauma. Please go over the test with the physician who ordered the test & understand how it fits your situation.
