Yes: Severe low back injuries such as fractures in setting of motor vehicle accident or fall can damage the abdominal organs leading to abdominal pain and spinal cord or nerve (cauda equina) causing groin numbness. Groin numbness may be caused spinal lesions compressing the cauda equina nerves.
