Scar treatment: You didn't mention where on your body this scar is located. Use a little neosporin on it while it has a scab. Once there is no more scab, use a good sunscreen if it's in an area that is exposed to the sun. Be patient--it can take a year or more for a scar to finish changing. Massage can help soften a firm or raised scar. Steroid injections can help soften a more severe scar.
