Longer leash: Before your pregnancy, your belly button was tacked down on the inside to a ligament (which used to be the umbilical artery and vein) from your umbilical cord when you were born. The degenerated artery and vein- now ligament- delivered blood to your liver.
During your pregnancy that ligament stretched and probably tore so that the internal pucker is no more.

Is it normal for you belly button being sensitive while pregnant?

Sensitive Umbilicus: Sensitivity around the umbilicus (belly button) is common in the second and their trimester. The likely reason for this is from stretching of the pregnant abdomen and that the tissue around the umbilicus does not stretch in the same way.

A 46-year-old member asked:
Is it normal to have a blue circle around your belly button when you're pregnant?

Probably normal: During pregnancy, the belly button is often a source of discomfort and change. Assuming that you are not in any pain, then discoloration reflects stretching of the skin at this site. Often you might also note darkening of the skin as well during pregnancy.
