B12 anyway: Olfactory nerves can be sheared with any head injury as they are vulnerable with many exits through the bone above the nose. It may take 6- 8 months to recover some smell but possibie it may not return. Good book recommended: “navigating smell and taste disorders” (demos health). An ENT doctor may give steroids to reduce swelling in the area. Consider seeing a cranial- trained osteopath.
