How long would someone who has broken bones, and a concussion have to stay in the hospital?

It depends: There are no pre-set guidelines. The duration of the hospital stay is determined by your the treatment required for both the concussion and the fractures in addition to the unique barriers that those injuries pose to your safe return home, such as pain control an ambulatory challenges.

Usually not at all: Concussions do not mandate hospital stays. Brain bleeding does. Concussion severity varies and neurological checks at home may be required hourly for the first night or so. It should be followed by a neurologist. Broken bones come in many forms and severities. Most do not require hospitalization. Pain control, compartment syndrome, open fractures, etc may require hospitalization.
