Short: Unfortunately stage IV stomach cancer does not have good prognosis. It is not feasible to give a time line or the amount of time a patient may have, as there are wide variations in the biology of tumors.

Difficult to know.: Unfortunately, we don't yet have curative treatment options for stage IV stomach cancer. It is difficult to know exactly how long someone will live. Usually, though, it ranges from a few to many months.
